Job shadowing

Experience the Mercy difference for yourself. Mercy offers a job shadowing program to allow individuals over 16 years of age to observe a health care professional. With the goal of career discovery and exploration, job shadowing is available Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm, not to exceed eight hours per occupation.

Shadowers must have proof of a TB test read within the last 12 months. In addition, if shadowers are under 18, all paperwork must be co-signed by parent or guardian prior to shadowing.

A variety of health occupations are available for shadowing, with the exception of physicians. If you are interested in shadowing a physician, contact the doctor’s office directly.  Physician participation in the shadowing program is based on physician preference and availability.
