Mercy
Health Center Foundation
Frequently asked questions
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, Mercy Health Center
Foundation is a 501c3 organization.
I can only make a small gift at this time. Will it still make an impact?
Every gift makes a difference. The cumulative effect of several small gifts
can be significant, helping fund the start-up of a new project or
enabling a patient to receive services that might otherwise be unavailable. In this way, the power of your gift is magnified
many times over.
How do I make a memorial gift?
You can designate your gift in memory or
in honor of a special person by indicating the person's name on the
Foundation donation form or on your check. We will also send
notification to the honoree or the family, making them aware of your gift.
Our policy is not to disclose the amount of a donation.
Will I receive an acknowledgement for my gift?
Yes. The Foundation will
acknowledge all donations by mail as soon as
possible.
Can Mercy redirect my gift for use
by another institution?
No. The Sisters of Mercy ensures that its affiliates are wise stewards of the resources entrusted to them. When you designate
your gift for Mercy Health Center, it is protected and
cannot be redirected.
What are Mercy's donor protection policies?
In addition to the
HIPAA privacy policy, the Foundation adheres to the principles found
in the Donor Bill of Rights developed by the Association of Healthcare
Philanthropy.
How can I get more information about making a gift?

financial/legal advisors design a giving plan that is in your best interest
