Laboratory Tests
Mercy Health Center offers a full range of lab
services to cancer patients, conveniently located near physician offices
and the Cancer Resource Center.
Lab tests use chemical processes to measure levels
of chemical components in body fluids and tissues. Blood and urine tests
are the most common lab tests conducted. Many different tests exist to
detect and measure almost any type of chemical component in your blood
or urine, including blood glucose, electrolytes, enzymes, hormones,
lipids (fats), other metabolic substances and proteins.
