Mercy's Pain Management Team
Many people believe individuals with cancer must be in pain. This is not
necessarily the case. Further, if it could not be prevented, when pain
is present, it can often be reduced or alleviated.
Pain management is an important topic to discuss with your physician as
soon as a diagnosis of cancer is made or suspected.
During your hospital stay at Mercy Health Center, a team consisting of
specially trained nurses and pharmacists are available to work with you
and your physician in managing your pain.
