Healthcare at a New Level:
Grounded in the present
Today, Mercy Memorial Health Center stands as the
premier regional health care facility in a six-county area of south central
Oklahoma, serving a population of more than 100,000.
As the largest hospital in the region, Mercy Memorial provides a full
range of medical specialties. With over 100 practicing physicians and
more than 950 employees, the hospital serves more than 8,700 inpatients and records
almost 100,000 outpatient visits each year. The emergency room serves
approximately 37,000 patients annually.
An economically strong community
Companies have spent
over $477 million in capital investments, resulting in more than 700 new
Ardmore jobs in
the past five years. Ardmore has been recognized as having one of the
nation’s top economic development programs for cities its size and has
witnessed several significant growth factors in recent years.
The hospital keeps pace
Technological and medical practice advances, with new
physicians recruited, have enabled the hospital to treat complex medical
conditions formerly referred to large medical centers. The hospital has made a significant economic
contribution to the community over the past five years, with $34.5 million
in capital investment on the campus. Mercy Memorial has also given over $4
million in community benefits for FY 2007.
